This Privacy Policy explains what information MeSpace collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built MeSpace to be privacy-respecting — no ad-tracking, no selling your data.

What we collect

• Account info: your email, display name, username, password (stored hashed), and date of birth (for age verification).
• Content you create: profile details, photos, posts, comments, messages, listings.
• Usage data: basic activity like last-active time and profile views.
• Approximate location: derived from your IP address (country level) to default your Classifieds region. We do not collect precise GPS location.

How we use it

• To operate MeSpace — show your profile, connect you with friends, deliver messages.
• To send transactional email (verification, password resets) via our email provider.
• To keep the community safe (moderation of flagged content).

We do not sell your personal information or use it for behavioral advertising.

Your privacy controls

• Search engines: your profile is hidden from search engines by default; you can opt in under Settings.
• Profile visibility: choose public or friends-only.
• Blocking: block users to sever contact.
• On-demand translation: posts are only sent to our translation provider when a viewer taps "Translate."

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run MeSpace, including Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Vercel Blob (image storage), Postmark (email), and Anthropic (on-demand translation). They process data only to provide their service to us.

Younger members

MeSpace is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Members aged 13–17 default to friends-only and non-indexed profiles. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your information from Settings, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and content.
